OUR MISSION
The Illinois Black Chamber of Commerce (ILBCC) is dedicated to the economic empowerment and sustained growth of black enterprise across the State of Illinois. We achieve our mission and ultimate objectives through our 23 local chapter organizations that provide intimate support and assistance to local black business owners. We serve as the voice of black business within Illinois and a strong advocate for economic policies that strengthen our growth. The ILBCC works in close association with the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) to ensure harmonization of our strategy and initiatives throughout the State.
ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE
The Illinois Black Chamber of Commerce, Inc. ILBCC was incorporated in Peoria, Illinois, in 1997 and provides an advocacy for black enterprises throughout the State of Illinois. Larry D. Ivory has served as founder and President since its inception.
The ILBCC is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote black economic empowerment and business development in Illinois. Our local chamber organizations provide members with:
- Programs to attract the investment of resources for stabilizing and developing Black-owned businesses.
- Channel Assistance For Access To Capital For Black Enterprises
- Training and technical assistance to entities interested in economic development of the community at the sub-community and neighborhood development levels.
How will the ILBCC accomplish its goals? By having a shared vision, a targeted approach, and by working through our standing committees to achieve the overall success for the organization.

The Illinois Black Chamber of Commerce's board is comprised of strong business leaders and Presidents of local Black Chambers across the State of Illinois.

Our standing Committees are listed below. Each committee has a chairperson and is required to meet quarterly with the chairs of that committee in the other black chambers in the state to set policy.
